Cool Websites To Visit When You're Bored.

Are you bored out of your wits? If yes, then you might be on the search for interesting websites that will keep you occupied for hours on end. The World Wide Web is filled with lots of such sites that are engaging enough to pass your time but it can get difficult to pick out the gems from the crowd. Be it at work or home, people like to spend loads of time browsing online for interesting material. Do a quick search online and there will be lots of recommendations but sometimes these websites are not good enough to keep you amused for hours when you are bored. Entertaining websites should be fun with attention-catching content. On this page you will see some of my favorites which I'm sure you will love too!





1 - FML

If you literally live on the Internet, then FML might not be new to you. FML is the site where people get together to share their "epic fail" moments. It is very interesting to go through most of the short updates by people. Some are outright funny, whereas others are compassionate. If you are interested in only going through the popular ones, you can click on the appropriate option - "Top FMLs" - which you will find at the top of the page. The good thing about this site is that it allows you to post messages as an anonymous user. Whenever I feel like blurting out frustrations to the world, this is the site where I head to. Clears my head and heart somehow.

2- Toondoo

Another website which I love to visit when I am bored is Toondoo. Here you can view popular cartoons (made by registered users) and even create your own comic strips and toon books! There are lots of options, characters, backgrounds, emoticons which you can use to make your comic strip unique and fun. After that, you can even share your comic strips with others. This is the perfect site for people who have an excellent sense of humor because funny comic strips are really popular at the site. The site has an easy-to-use interface and creating your own cartoons is very simple and can be done even by newbies.



3 - Be Funky

If you are someone who likes to try out new photo effects on your pictures then Be Funky is a cool new site to try out. By using such a website, you can spruce up your profile pictures. The website looks simply fab and even offers a number of goodies which can make your pictures look like they have never did before. The best part is that Be Funky is completely free to use -- and you don't even have to register. I, for one, is a kind of person who leaves a page as soon as I find out that I have to register to try out the features. I just don't want my email inbox to be filled with notifications, so such a website (which offers no registeration) is heaven-sent for me.

4 - Funny Typos

If you are someone who likes to make fun of grammatical mistakes, then Funny Typos is the site for you! Here you will see real time stories and photographs from people who have gone through funny typos in their life -- be it on signs, banners or any other places. A fun site especially for those who judge other people by their grammar and spellings.

5 - Safety Graphic Fun 

You might have seen many public safety signs. But have you seen any that goes "Touching wires can cause instant death. $200 fine" and any other such ridiculous safety signs?

Safety Graphic Fun has plenty of such fun messages that will keep you occupied for hours on end when you are bored. Signs are kept for the most ridiculous of reasons. Messages that any person with a good common sense need not read in the first place. My own personal favorite is the one shown on the right. Have you been nice to "hygiene keepers" lately?

6 - Pogo

I don't usually play many online games, but whenever I do feel like it -- I head over to Pogo. Most people like to play these short, interesting games online whenever they are bored. Pogo has a variety of online games right from word games to action games. There are loads of categories and I'm sure you will find something that will suit your need.

7 - Popurls

If you are in the mood for something informative, then head over to Popurls. On the site, you will find all the latest headlines published on main news portals and social bookmarking websites. Want to know what's buzzing on Reddit? Or do you want to know what people are mostly tweeting about? This is the place you need to head to for all social media news, events and popular stories.





8 - My Parents Joined Facebook

It's the ultimate nightmare for a son/daughter -- their parents joining Facebook to keep a tab on them. At My Parents Joined Facebook you will see funny screen shots of embarrassing messages from parents that had their children squirming with embarrassment.

9 - Tweeting Too Hard

On Tweeting Too Hard, all "self-important" tweets get a special mention. Do you frown every time you see a person boasting about his talents/good looks/personality on Twitter? If yes, then you are not alone. There are plenty of people out there who cannot stand arrogance and on this page you get to give a "virtual pat on the back" to such people -- in a sarcastic way of course -- for shamelessly tweeting way too much about their self-importance.
