How to Hide the Icons From the Notification Area.

The taskbar is a long horizontal strip in Windows that allows you to quickly access other locations and programs in the operating system. When a program is pinned to the taskbar, Windows will always display it. To remove the icons, you need to unpin these programs from the taskbar. The notification area is also part of the taskbar. The notification area's icons display your computer's current status. Windows also gives you the option to hide these icons.

• Go to the bottom of the screen.
• Right-click an empty spot on the notification area and select "Properties." This will open a new window that allows you to change the settings of the notification area
• Go to the "Notification Area" section and click "Customize."

 

• Click "Turn System Icons On or Off."

 

Unpinning Programs From the Taskbar

• Go to the bottom of the screen
• Right-click a pinned icon on the taskbar.
• Select "Unpin this Program from taskbar.
